I’m currently recording a new season of my podcast, on family estrangement, for anyone whose family has distanced from them, or who has stepped back from family themselves. Parents and adult children, siblings, grandparents missing their grandchildren – estrangement can touch every part of a family, and it can feel very lonely.
In each episode I’ll talk through a different part of the experience in plain, everyday language, from what terms like low contact and no contact actually mean, to the grief, guilt, shame and relief that so often come with them. It isn’t about telling you what you ‘should’ do. It’s about helping you make sense of where you are.
In future seasons I’ll cover other topics.
